Bayou Blood

Chapter Ten – Part Four Teaser: Decisions

Previously on Bayou Blood: The Awakening

The first howl over Everdale does not sound like an animal.

It sounds like a warning.

By the time the echoes fade, the town is already lost. What follows is not chaos in the usual sense but something colder and more deliberate. The Lycans do not scatter. They move with intent. Police stations fall silent. Storefronts become kill zones. Entire blocks are erased in minutes, leaving behind smoke, twisted metal, and questions no one will ever answer honestly.

This is the night the pack stops pretending.

As Everdale burns, Derek and Detective Olivia Hale drive straight into the heart of it, armed with silver, Compound 47, and the knowledge that containment may already be impossible. For a moment, it seems like they might actually win. Targets fall. The streets go quiet. The smoke hangs heavy, and the city holds its breath.

Then the truth catches up.

Under the wreckage, Derek finds someone he never expected to see alive again. The virus loosens its grip, memories rush back, and the cost of survival finally becomes clear. There are no clean victories here. Every life saved carries the weight of lives lost.

And the night is not finished.

From the shadows steps the architect of it all. Calm. Unbroken. Watching. What follows is not just a battle, but a reckoning. Blood meets blood. Predator meets predator. And when Derek finally gives in to what has been growing inside him since the beginning, Everdale witnesses something entirely new.

By dawn, the town will be rewritten as a footnote. The news will call it an animal attack. The truth will burn with the ruins.

And when the smoke clears, nothing in Bayou Blood will ever be the same again.
