7 Bold Predictions for the Daredevil: Born Again Finale

With just one episode left in Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel fans are bracing for a finale packed with confrontations, revelations, and possibly devastating consequences. After eight episodes of mounting tension, political corruption, personal betrayals, and brutal violence, the stage is set for a showdown that could forever change the trajectory of Matt Murdock’s life — and the Marvel street-level universe.

Here are seven bold predictions on how Daredevil: Born Again might end its first season.

  1. Matt Murdock Reveals His Identity to Heather Glenn

Matt has spent the entire season walking a moral tightrope — keeping his vigilante identity hidden from Heather, even as she’s offered psychological insight into the dangers of masked justice. But that façade may finally crumble.

After taking a bullet in Episode 8 to save Wilson Fisk, Heather saw a side of Matt that’s impossible to ignore — especially after he accidentally called her by name while in the Daredevil suit during the Muse arc. The final episode could see Matt finally come clean, possibly costing him their relationship… or pushing Heather to confront her biases about vigilantes.

Prediction: Matt reveals he’s Daredevil, which permanently fractures his relationship with Heather.

  1. Vanessa Fisk Is Publicly Exposed as Foggy’s Killer

One of the season’s biggest twists came in Episode 8 when Matt put the pieces together and realized that Vanessa Fisk — not Wilson — may have ordered the hit on Foggy Nelson. If that revelation is made public, it could devastate Fisk’s image as a reformed mayor.

But Vanessa may have gone too far. Her calculated power plays, growing ruthlessness, and potential double-crossing of Wilson could backfire if Daredevil or an insider leaks proof of her involvement. This would ruin Fisk’s political future and possibly set up Vanessa as the next Kingpin figure in the shadows.

Prediction: Vanessa’s role in Foggy’s murder is exposed, threatening to unravel everything Fisk has built.

  1. Bullseye Will Kill Again — But Not Who You Expect

Bullseye’s escape from prison in Episode 8 was anything but subtle. Now free, unpredictable, and likely feeling betrayed by both Fisk and Daredevil, Dex Poindexter has nothing left to lose. That makes him the most dangerous player heading into the finale.

While many expect him to try (and fail) to kill Fisk again, he may pivot and target someone emotionally closer to Matt — such as Heather or even Karen Page (if she makes a surprise appearance). A final kill from Bullseye would leave a lasting emotional scar and raise the stakes for future seasons.

Prediction: Bullseye kills again in the finale, and his victim will be personal.

  1. Wilson Fisk Will Go Full Kingpin — Again

Throughout Born Again, Wilson Fisk has tried to play both sides: respected mayor by day and crime lord by night. But his calm, calculated exterior is beginning to crack — and with mounting political pressure, Bullseye on the loose, and Vanessa growing more involved in their criminal empire, something has to give.

The final episode could see Fisk abandon the mayoral mask and fully embrace his Kingpin persona, possibly murdering a political rival or wiping out a key member of the anti-vigilante task force to maintain power. This reversion would cement his role as Daredevil’s ultimate foil for seasons.

Prediction: Fisk snaps and publicly reclaims his identity as the Kingpin in the final moments.

  1. Daredevil Will Walk Away — For Now

After everything he’s endured — the death of Foggy, the unraveling of his moral code, and nearly dying at a public event — Matt may finally be pushed to his emotional and physical limit. In classic Daredevil fashion, he might survive the battle but lose his identity.

The finale could end with Matt walking away from being Daredevil, disillusioned by what it’s cost him. This sets up a season 2 arc where he must rediscover his purpose, rebuild relationships, and ultimately reclaim the mantle when Hell’s Kitchen needs him most.

Prediction: Matt hangs up the suit… at least temporarily.

  1. The Anti-Vigilante Task Force Will Be Weaponized

One of Fisk’s most dangerous assets this season has been his anti-vigilante task force — a squad of elite enforcers tasked with policing masked heroes under the guise of public safety. So far, they’ve used excessive force, manipulated the press, and elevated Fisk’s image.

In the finale, this task force may be formally unleashed as a political tool and a militarized unit. We may even see a cliffhanger where they begin hunting other vigilantes, such as Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, or even Spider-Man, hinting at broader ramifications for the MCU’s street-level heroes.

Prediction: The task force becomes the next great threat to every masked hero in New York.

  1. A Surprise Character Will Appear to Set Up Season 2

Marvel loves a well-timed cameo — especially in final episodes. With the multiverse looming in other projects, Born Again has stayed grounded, but the finale could introduce a fan-favorite character to set the stage for next season.

Possibilities include:

  • Karen Page, returning to confront Matt
  • Elektra, teasing a resurrection of The Hand
  • Luke Cage or Jessica Jones, establishing street-level unity
  • Or even Frank Castle/The Punisher, stepping into the shadows after seeing the task force’s corruption

Prediction: A returning character (Karen, Elektra, or Punisher) appears in the final scene, hinting at what’s next.

Daredevil: Born Again has rebuilt Matt Murdock’s world from the ground up — and then shattered it piece by piece. With just one episode left, everything is on the line. Whether we witness redemption, tragedy, or transformation, one thing is certain:

The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen won’t go quietly.
